hope

people will disappoint more often than they will meet expectations.
each time this happens, you lower your expectations a little.
but at some point, it gets a little ridiculous, no?

and yet, people hold on.
we wait for the day something changes.
we believe that things will get better.
because they have to.

wake up.
hope is a bitch.
truth is,
we can't wait around forever.
